I’m Alyssa, the designer and jeweler behind primer jewels.

Jewelry always brought me so much joy. I’ve been rifling through jewelry boxes for as long as I can remember, captivated by the stories held in small, beautiful things. That same appreciation for detail and intention is what guides my work today.

I’m also an avid recreational shooter which is a passion that began with riflery at summer camp and evolved into learning pistol and trap shooting as an adult. It’s something my dad introduced me to, and it remains one of the ways we stay connected. My parents taught my sisters and me to be independent, hard-working, and unafraid to pursue our passions. Primer Jewels is an extension of that lesson.

I created this brand to offer something different; fine jewelry that is wholly beautiful, a little unexpected and yes, even badass - while being completely safe for everyday and continuous wear. Every piece begins with range-fired ammunition that is carefully cleaned, cut and transformed into refined, wearable art. Because when you wear Primer jewels, you’re not just wearing an accessory. You’re wearing a story of elegance, grace and grit.
